![]() ![]() There are no easy answers to any of these questions. ![]() ![]() Sure you can set the default party rules and the PvP settings, but it is also important to look at the array of possible failures that can occur due to programming errors ¿ a quest being broken by a player leaving the game with an important plot item, the giving out of rewards to multiple people, etc. One other thing that I wish to note here before beginning is that I am not sure how to set up a module for multiple players. Conversations rely heavily on background scripting (basically for flow control reasons), so I will go into it first, then the journal and finally into the major kinds of available script types. Since these are integral to the success of the campaign, I will cover them first. These are the heart and soul of any module, and should be done properly. I will also be covering the journal and conversations here. At the end of the section I will also have some room for advanced techniques, and things that I am particularly proud of having done. I will include several ideas for what can be done with them, as well as some sample scripts of what I put together. The information contained herein is by no means complete! I will include most (if not all) of the script types available in the toolset. Now that I have discussed basic scripting techniques, area creation and area population, I will go into using the rest of the tools to customize and finish your adventure. ![]()
